The third game of the season was a home match against the Canterbury Chargers.
A slow start for the Hurricanes but they soon found their feet and started to dominate. A 28 - 0 lead at half time was converted into a 63 - 6 victory.
The 'Canes lead the South Eastern Conference after game three.
