The Hurricanes were ranked number one in the country after the regular season and won a bye through the first round of the playoffs.

The quarter-finals saw them welcome the Cardiff Cobras to Hatfield. The Hurricanes proceeded to dismantle the Cobras reaching their biggest victory of the season, 63 - 0.
